WHO WE ARE

Support with purpose

We are a Sydney-based disability support agency working with participants with a wide range of needs. We exist to help participants build greater independence while feeling supported, safe and comfortable.

We consider it a privilege to be part of a participant’s life. That responsibility shapes how we work: with respect, care and a positive attitude, always focused on meaningful, person-centred support.

Our approach is practical and personal. These principles reflect the way we aim to support each participant.

We treat every participant with respect and recognise the trust involved in providing support.

Choice and independence

We support participants to build independence and work towards goals that matter to them.

Safety and comfort

We want participants to feel safe, comfortable and supported in the people and arrangements around them.

Meaningful participation

We value support that helps people take part in everyday life and pursue meaningful goals.

Support shaped through real relationships

Respectful support grows from listening, consistency and time spent understanding the participant.

We work with participants and families to understand goals, preferences and what helps the participant feel comfortable. That shared understanding helps our team provide practical support with care and consistency.

    OUR STORY

    Why Essential Assistant Care began

    Essential Assistant Care began in early 2025, inspired by our founder’s family experience.

    Her two brothers were diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, she saw how support workers had a significant impact on her brothers and their commitment and passion to helping them build independence, set meaningful goals and live fulfilling lives.

    That experience shaped the organisation we are building: one grounded in compassionate, empowering and person-centred support, with every participant’s individual goals at the centre.
